Gerard4 Blog Special

We seized the 3000 visits to this blog to review the blog’ statistical. The blog was born last August to collect all the success of the young Santa Cristina rider and to show our team’s project potential to some possible sponsors. During the Christmas time the blog surpassed 1000 total visits (over 500 visits in 12/20/2010). By Easter the blog achieves the 2000 visits and recently we exceeded the 3000 total. Remarkable the Spanish visits, more than 2000 and next we find more than 130 Dutch visits! Greetings to our(s) fan(s) in The Netherlands.

The most significant fact to illustrate the blog’s evolution is the number of comments per entry. While at first only 2 or 3 comments were recorded, in 2011 the comments per entry have increased up to 4, 5 or 6 comments. Thanks to all those that show their support!

Sant Celoni Social Championship Special

The first running-in of Gerard4 in motocross was in Sant Celoni Social Championship where he grew as a rider and achieved his first successes.

In 2009 Gerard4 managed to finish 2nd in the III Sant Celoni Social Championship (initiation category) and in 2010 was crowned champion in the fourth edition of the contest.

SuperKids 2011

Castellolí celebrated again the SuperKids motorcycle festival that called a meeting of riders from all over Spain to run in the MotoCross Grand Prinx, Enduro Grand Prix, Trial Grand Prix and Speed Grand Prix last Easter. But unfortunately the weather made his point and the raining left the ground useless (remember that the second round was never done).

Due to these conditions Gerard4 team decided not to training to prevent falls and mechanical problems that forced us to abandon the race. In the practice sessions highlighted from Valencia David Braceras (1:02,7) and Sergio Montoro (1:03,9) and from Catalonia Marc Pàmias (1:03,8). There were many talents and victory would be very difficult.
Great race start of Gerard4 and David Braceras, alias “petrolico”, that goes first in the first bend but the Giroracing driver placed first at the end of the opening lap. It is noteworthy that both Gerard4 as "petrolico" achieved their Personal fastest lap in the first one: the Santa Cristina driver fastest absolute lap 0:59,4, and David Braceras 1:00,2. Also Sergio Montoro and Marc Pàmias can not keep the speed with the leading duo and they began to get further and further from Gerard and David. In the second lap Gerard4 falls and lost more than 50 seconds and he dropped to 12th position. But the young driver took his KTM and began to pick up positions scoring fastest lap at every lap, on lap six h was placed 4th and he could see Marc Pàmias and Sergio Montoro. David Braceras secured the first position with over 30 seconds to spare with the 2nd driver. On the last lap Gerard4 achieved Marc Pàmias and get the third position to less than a second further from Sergio Montoro.
Due to the bad conditions of the circuit parents and riders decided to suspend the second round being the final classification the classification of the first round:
1st David Bracero
2nd Sergio Montoro
3rd Gerard Congost
4th Marc Pàmias

That was a great organization from Parcmotor Castellolí and great race in extreme conditions. Here all the classifications of SuperKids (initiation page 21).
