Summary of season 2009

Gerard was only five year old so he was not old enough to be federated into the category of initiation into the Catalan Motorcycle Federation which did not allow us to compete in the Catalonia Championship or Girona Championship. Therefore, the main objectives in 2009 were to show his talent in the Sant Celoni Social Championship and in different Fastcross organized in the province, testing his level next September (he will be 6 years old and he could be federated) in the Girona Championship and Catalonia Championship for the upcoming season.

The different Fastcross played throughout the season were very successful, helped Gerard learning to compete and gaining experience. One of the most important races was the Calonge Fastcross where Gerard won the 2nd place.
His first success came with the Sant Celoni Social Championship where Gerard was able to show his potential. He won a race in the initiation category and finished in 2nd place at the end of the season.

In the Girona Championship was also quite remarkable his 4th place in Empúries, his 3rd place in Santa Coloma and his 3rd in Figueres, the last race of the championship. These results made us being much optimistic for next season.

One of the most important challenges of the season was the Catalonia Championship that was used to know the level to be achieved for the next season. But even with the lack of experience Gerard managed to finish in 10th position in Olvan and 11th in Amposta.

So the season ends with great success where Gerard achieved all the objectives.
